Loop Community Guidelines
Guidelines version: 2026-07-19 (this version corresponds to policy_service.UGC_POLICY_VERSION; bumping the version re-prompts every user to accept it before their next upload)
Loop is small private circles: up to 12 close people who see each other's photos on their home screen. The rules below are the minimum a private circle needs to stay safe.
1. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Loop absolutely and without exception prohibits any material depicting or facilitating child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including:
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — photographs, video, drawn or generated images;
- grooming — engaging, coaxing, or coercing a minor into sexual activity;
- sextortion targeting a minor;
- any other content that sexualizes children.
What happens when it's found. Such content is removed immediately, with no advance notice to its uploader; the violating account is banned with no path to reinstatement; the material and account data are referred to the law enforcement authorities of the relevant jurisdiction.
How to report. Use the in-app "Report" action (section 3 below) with the "Sexual content" category, or write directly to zaharovgrpi@gmail.com with "CSAE" in the subject — these reports are handled on a priority basis, outside the normal 72-hour SLA (section 5).
This rule applies to all content in Loop without exception — whether captured in the app or ingested from a linked Telegram/MAX chat.
2. What else is prohibited
By uploading a photo or video to Loop, you're responsible for what you post. Beyond CSAE (section 1 above), the following is prohibited:

| Privacy violations | Posting someone else's photos, messages, documents, addresses, or phone numbers without their consent |
| Copyright infringement | Photos and videos you don't hold the rights to publish |
| Other | Anything not covered above that breaks the law or clearly harms circle members |
Separately: don't post photos of other people if they don't want you to. The circle is small, but it's still a publication.
3. How to report
You can report three kinds of things:
- a photo or video — the "…" menu on someone else's photo card in the feed → "Report";
- a person — the "Members" screen → "Report";
- an entire circle — Settings → "Report this circle".
The dialog asks you to pick a category from the list above; a comment is optional. The report goes into the moderation queue.
Reporting the same thing again while the first report is still open doesn't create a duplicate — it updates the one already filed.
4. Blocking a user
You can block a member from the "Members" screen or from the menu on their photo. After blocking:
- you no longer see their photos and videos, and they no longer see yours;
- neither of you can react to the other's content;
- neither of you gets notified about the other's posts.
Blocking does not remove the person from the circle — they remain a member, you simply stop seeing each other. Unblock from Settings → "Blocked users".
Responsibility for linking a chat. The member who links a group chat to a circle is responsible for the lawfulness of bringing its content into Loop — including having the consent of the people whose images are shared there. Don't link a chat if you don't have the right to.
Limitation: content that reaches a circle from a linked Telegram or MAX chat is posted under that chat's service account, not the real sender's identity. That sender has no Loop account, so they specifically can't be blocked. You can still report that content and a moderator will remove it; the whole source can be disconnected from "Content sources".
5. What a moderator can do
A moderator reviews reports and can:
- dismiss the report if there's no violation;
- delete a specific photo or video;
- delete an entire circle along with all its content;
- ban the violating account — after which they can no longer use the app.
Every moderator action is written to an audit log.
Reports are reviewed within 72 hours of being filed.
Appeals. If you believe a moderator's decision was wrong — your content was removed or your account was banned without cause — write to zaharovgrpi@gmail.com within 30 days of the decision, stating what was removed or banned. You'll get a reply within 72 hours.
6. Automated content screening
Automated screening never removes or hides content. Uploaded images may be scored automatically for signs of prohibited content using Google Cloud Vision (SafeSearch). Where it applies:
- the result is a signal for a moderator, not a decision;
- no content is hidden or deleted automatically;
- every decision to remove content or ban an account is made by a person;
- user reports remain the primary way to flag a violation, and how they are handled does not
change.
Screening sends the image to Google Cloud Vision, including outside your country of residence. Google acts as a data processor and does not use the submitted images to train its models. See the Privacy Policy for details.
7. Consequences of a violation
- content removal;
- account ban by a moderator — signing in to the app stops working;
- circle deletion;
- when a crime is suspected — referral of the material to law enforcement.
Age restriction: Loop is intended for people 16 years of age and older.
8. Accepting these guidelines
Publishing content in Loop requires accepting the current version of these guidelines first. The check runs on the server, so an old app version can't bypass it. Reading the feed is not gated on accepting the guidelines.
